Effective date: January 1, 2026. These terms apply to all services provided by Artesia Concrete & Masonry and to use of our website at artesiaconcreteandmasonry.com.
By using our website at artesiaconcreteandmasonry.com or engaging Artesia Concrete & Masonry to provide services, you agree to these terms and conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or request our services. These terms may be updated from time to time, and continued use of our services after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Artesia Concrete & Masonry is a masonry contractor providing concrete and masonry services to residential and commercial customers in Artesia, CA and surrounding areas. Services include, but are not limited to, foundation repair, chimney repair, tuckpointing, brick and stone work, retaining walls, driveways, walkways, fireplace installation, and related masonry work.
All services are performed by or under the direct supervision of state-licensed contractors. We reserve the right to decline any project at our discretion.
Written estimates are provided free of charge before any work begins. An estimate describes the scope of work, materials, and total price as understood at the time of assessment. Estimates are valid for 30 days from the date of issue.
Estimates are based on conditions visible at the time of the site visit. If unforeseen conditions are discovered during the course of work - such as hidden structural damage, soil conditions that were not observable, or materials that differ from what was expected - we will notify you promptly and provide a written change order before proceeding with any additional work. You are not obligated to authorize changes beyond the original estimate.
Verbal quotes or preliminary figures discussed before a written estimate is issued are not binding. Only signed written estimates and contracts constitute an agreement to perform work.
Work is scheduled based on crew availability, permit timelines, and material lead times. We will provide you with a start date once the contract is signed and any required deposit is received. We make reasonable efforts to meet agreed-upon schedules but are not liable for delays caused by weather, permit delays, material availability, or other circumstances outside our control.
If you need to cancel or reschedule a scheduled job, please notify us at least 48 hours in advance by calling (562) 625-1349 or emailing projects@artesiaconcreteandmasonry.com. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice may result in forfeiture of any deposit paid if materials have been ordered or work has been mobilized.
We reserve the right to reschedule work due to weather or other conditions that would affect quality or safety. We will notify you as soon as possible and will work with you to find the next available date.
Payment terms are set out in the written contract for each project. In general:
Accepted payment methods will be listed in your contract. Invoices not paid within the time specified in your contract may be subject to a late fee and may result in suspension of any remaining work until the balance is resolved.
Pursuant to California law, we may have lien rights against your property if payment is not made. We will exercise those rights only as a last resort after attempting to resolve any dispute in good faith.
Where a permit is required by the City of Artesia, Los Angeles County, or any other applicable authority, we will obtain the permit on your behalf as part of the project. Permit fees are separate from our labor and material costs and will be itemized in your estimate. You agree to provide reasonable access to your property to allow inspections to occur as required.
We stand behind the quality of our work. Unless otherwise specified in writing in your contract, we provide a one-year warranty on labor for work we perform. Material warranties, if any, are provided by the manufacturer and are separate from our labor warranty.
Our warranty covers defects in workmanship that result from how the job was performed. It does not cover damage caused by events outside our control, including but not limited to earthquakes, flooding, soil movement, tree root intrusion, impact damage, or modifications made by others after we completed the work.
Some services, such as pier systems for foundation repair, may carry extended warranties as specified in your individual contract. Any such extended warranty will be described in writing.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Artesia Concrete & Masonry's liability for any claim arising out of services provided or use of this website is limited to the amount paid by you for the specific service that gave rise to the claim.
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of use, loss of income, or cost of temporary housing or repairs arising from delays. This limitation applies even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, both parties agree to submit the matter to binding arbitration in Artesia County, California, under the rules of a mutually agreed-upon arbitration provider. Class action lawsuits and jury trials are waived to the extent permitted by law.
These terms and conditions are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action not resolved through arbitration will be brought in the appropriate state or federal courts located in California.
